Panda Bear is proud to present the video for ‘Tropic Of Cancer’, from the recently-released, critically acclaimed album Panda Bear Meets The Grim Reaper. The Dave Portner (of Animal Collective)-directed video, in which many of the album's leitmotifs - family, the animal kingdom, death’s inevitability – are touched on in arrestingly beautiful color.
Says Portner of the video: "Its always been in the spirit of Animal Collective to want to collaborate in many artistic ways with each other. Having been a fan of Noah’s music since we were teenagers, it’s sweet to finally be able to collaborate with him on something other than just making sounds and songs. I also am thankful to get my first shot at making something a little more long running in the visual/video world. This is one of my favorite songs on the record, hence my being involved with it. I’m grateful and excited to have worked on every moment of it and to have worked with all the sweet people who helped me put it together."

Prior to the release of their new album Why Make Sense? on May 18, Hot Chip have announced details of their latest single 'Need You Now'. Watch the video for the single - directed by Shynola - below.
“We share a lot of the same references and attitudes - there’s a definite aesthetic affinity,” say Shynola of Hot Chip. “The idea for the video wholly came from our reaction to the song. What was intended to be a piece of thrifty filmmaking ended up being a mind-melting shoot - if you can imagine shooting multiple versions of reality, but completely out of chronology, plus in the pissing rain and wind.”
Why Make Sense? was recorded in Oxfordshire and London and produced by Hot Chip with Mark Ralph. The album will be available on all standard formats as well as a Special Edition available for a limited time only, featuring a bonus Separate EP with 4 new tracks recorded during the album sessions. Due to a unique and bespoke printing technique which has never been used before, the new album Why Make Sense? will come in one of 501 different colours making every cover unique. The band recently announced further international festival appearances including Lollapalooza, Roskilde, Osheaga and more. Forthcoming live dates are as follows:
We are pleased to announce ‘Move Systems’, the first release from Domino’s latest signing - multi-instrumentalist, producer and songwriter, Georgia.
Built on a truly monstrous rhythm section, ‘Move Systems’is a frenetic, forceful and hugely imaginative track – offering as much cerebral charm as it does pure physical impact in the way it channels elements of early 00’s grime, dub, post-punk and hip hop into a genuinely new-sounding, globally minded brand of pop. The accompanying video, directed by Rollo Jackson (Hot Chip, Angel Haze, Danny Brown), is available to view now below.
Born and raised in north west London, the last few years have seen Georgia steadily establish herself as an important fixture in the city's most singular and imaginative artistic circles, playing drums for Kwes and Kate Tempest among others before emerging as an irresistible creative force in her own right with last year's Come In EP.
Newly signed to Domino, Georgia is currently putting the final touches to her debut album which she entirely wrote, performed and self-produced - details of which will be announced soon.
Georgia will be performing live at this year’s The Great Escape in Brighton on May 15, and as a special guest of Kelela at XOYO onMay 26. Further dates are to be announced.
Dan Deacon has shared a new music video for "When I Was Done Dying", directed by Adult Swim’s Off the Air. The video’s an exquisite corpse style of collaborative animation, with one of nine animators, each handling their own thirty second segment of the song. See the full list of credits below or at Off the Air. It marks the first time for both Deacon and Off the Air to work on a music video in this style, but the second time they’ve collaborated on a music video, following the video for 2012’s America’s “USA” 22 minute orchestral suite.
All this week at 4am ET/PT, Off the Air will be airing episodes featuring both collaborative music videos alongside work from the animators involved in the “When I Was Done Dying” video. Visit Off the Air’s Tumblr all week for interviews with Deacon and the animators. In addition, all this week the album version of “When I Was Done Dying” is available as a free track download on iTunes US. Download it here.

Petite Noir’s debut EP The King Of Anxiety is now available to purchase in CD and vinyl formats globally. To commemorate its release, the New York Times has premiered the video for EP standout ‘The Fall’ HERE, calling the track “a pensive, meditative ode to the inescapable changes wrought by time, with a quietly anthemic refrain and minimalist orchestration that might call the XX to mind.”
Directed by Yannick Ilunga (Petite Noir) and Rochelle Nembhard, the video for ‘The Fall’ explores their relationship, and symbolizes what we all face in our closest of relationships; the challenges which arise in our attempts to lose selfness and achieve unity.
Regarding the video, Ilunga says:
“The video is inspired by the work of Serbian artist Marina Abromovic, and in particular her ‘The Artist is Present’ performance art piece (MoMA 2010), where she was reunited with her ex-lover, the German artist Ulay, after 22 years apart.
It’s intended as a raw and transparent look into what we do to each other in relationships, setting aside the fakeness and pretense that we shroud ourselves in.
When we fall, we fall together.”
Petite Noir is currently working on his debut album for release by Domino’s sister label, Double Six, later this year.
The King Of Anxiety EP is now available in digital, vinyl, and CD formats from the Dom Mart.
Following on from ‘Courage’, the heartrending first single from Villagers’ forthcoming album Darling Arithmetic, Conor O’Brien is proud to share a second listen from the album, in the form of the soulful ‘Hot Scary Summer’, which rakes over the break-up of a love affair blighted by “all the pretty young homophobes looking out for a fight”. Sam Dust, AKA LA PRIEST, has shared the video for 'Oino, the first track from the artist’s new project for Domino.
The video was shot by Dust’s brother, director Isaac Eastgate, during the pair’s travels recently and was “inspired by a story our grandad told us about a man imprisoned in the desert who escapes by singing to a wizard”, according to the artist.
Having previously used the moniker for a 12" release on Erol Alkan's Phantasy label in 2007, ‘Oino’, Dust's new single, is the first material to surface from the artist since the hiatus of Late Of The Pier, his previous band, in 2009.
Sam Dust spent much of his time after 2010 in Greenland, studying the effects of the Ivittuut region's electro-magnetic phenomena on recorded sound, and producing more than five secret uncredited projects - some of which have already trickled out into the world to public acclaim.
Evoking the disruptive pop spirit of musicians like David Byrne, Prince, Arthur Russell or Aphex Twin, Dust's revived LA PRIEST project once again sets him apart as a true outlying original. ‘Oino’ marks the beginning of this long over-due re-emergence and is just a glimpse of the gloriously alluring hole in the fabric of the universe he's torn for himself.
